Empathy is our compass and our core values are the tools we use to help us stay the course. Our values are embedded into how we approach each and every project we take on.
All of our speaking, facilitating, and advising is carried out through an anti-oppressive, power-conscious, and intersectional lens that we are constantly refining, as we hope to dismantle harmful systems of oppression by centering stories, perspectives, and voices that often are pushed to the margins.

power-conscious & intersectional.
Power-consciousness refers to one’s ability to understand and be accountable to how various aspects of everyday life are deeply affected by power & privilege. Intersectionality (Crenshaw), holds that our identities (gender, sexuality, race, ability, class, size, mental health, etc.) exist in relation to one other producing unique lived experiences. These concepts form the foundation of our work.
engaging & interactive.
We know that people learn best when they are tuned in, excited, and engaged in the learning process. We ensure training and presentations are designed specifically to facilitate robust, productive discussions, and avoid lecture-style pedagogical approaches. By leveraging technology, prioritizing comfort, and building community, we create environments for every type of learner.
growth-oriented.
We don’t believe in “safe-spaces”, as discussing issues of human rights, oppression, and discrimination can never feel truly safe for those who experience them. Rather, we build growth-oriented, non-judgemental, but wholly accountable spaces, where mistakes are permitted, constructive feedback is commonplace, and confidentiality is mandatory. We are humans who work with humans, and humans aren’t perfect. We work to try and improve alongside you.

We don’t subscribe to a one-size-fits-all approach to solving problems. We prefer to work collaboratively with every client to ensure our programming and solutions are tailor-made to your unique needs.

We hear over-and-over that many folks avoid engaging with important discussions about complicated issues because they are afraid of saying the wrong thing. We are experts at making every conversation accessible to everyone we work with by establishing expectations, being flexible, and presenting you with practical roadmaps that are simple to follow.
